Plug Valves
Plug valves are valves with cylindrical or conically-tapered plugs which can be rotated inside the valve body to control flow through the valve. The plugs in plug valves have one or more hollow passageways going sideways through the plug, so that fluid can flow through the plug when the valve is open. Plug valves are simple and often economical.

Nordstrom Dynamic Balance valve
The Nordstrom Dynamic Balance Valve incorporates a pressure-balanced plug that assures predictable torque even under high-pressure differential, and vibration and thermal cycling. Turns easily every time. Balance holes at the top and bottom of the plug maintain equal pressure above and below the plug and in the plug port so that line pressure cannot jam the plug into the body taper. A stainless steel spring pre-loads the plug to prevent vibration and thermal cycling from wedging the plug into the taper. Email us for more information
Nordstrom Steel Plug valve
The standard Nordstrom plug valves include low pressure valves *ANSI Class 150) in sizes 6, 8 and 12 for a broad range of applications in gas distribution and general industrial services. In bolted bland type valves, controlled plug motion is provided by flexing of the gland itself. The valves can be adjusted, if needed, but normally require little attention for leak-free, easy turning valve performance. Email us for more information
Serck Audco Taper Plug valve
The Serck Audco taper plug valve is used on a wide variety of liquid, gaseous and slurry services. The tapered plug is held firmly into its tapered seat but can be adjusted to achieve complete leaktightness. The tapered seating surfaces of the plug and body are not exposed to the line fluid when the valve is in the open position, so the effects of corrosion and erosion are confined to the less important parts of the valve. Since there is a straight flowpath through the valve, there is very little resistance to flow and pressure loss is minimised. Email us for more information
Serck Audco Super-H Pressure Balanced Plug valve
Serck Audco Super-H pressure balanced plug valves are supplied for many 'tight shut off' duties in the worldwide oil and gas markets. Pressure balanced plugs with 'Lomu' surface treatment provides certainty of operation. The ability to inject emergency stem packing around the blowout proof stem assures sealing to atmosphere, whilst plug sealant can be injected to provide down the line sealing even with damaged seats. The Super-H is of rugged construction with metal to metal seats of large area that are fully protected when the valve is in the open position. This feature coupled with hard facing options for wetted parts makes the Super-H valve ideal for the arduous erosive and corrosive applications associated with oil and gas exploration and production.
